You won't be routed to whoever's available. Your health concierge is assigned to you for the year, and works alongside the same physician who reviewed your original assessment — so every call, text, or email starts from someone who already knows your history, not someone reading your file for the first time.
What your health concierge handles
Your health concierge handles the details so you don't have to. They book your appointments — in person or virtual. They advocate on your behalf at every step of your care, keep you informed with regular updates on testing and referrals, and coordinate your prescription refills. And because they work across every physician and specialist you see, nothing falls through the cracks between appointments. Reach them by phone, email, or text.
What this looks like as a Vertex member
Say your physician recommends a specialist referral during your report review, and two weeks later you'd like an update. Your concierge follows up with the specialist's office and lets you know where things stand, so you're not left waiting by the phone. If the wait is too long, they can look for another specialist who can see you sooner and, with your approval, ask your physician to redirect the referral. If something urgent comes up, your concierge can facilitate appointment booking with your assigned physician. One point of contact for all of it.
